If everyone who is invited comes, we'll have about 14 adults and 3 kids and it will be during dinnertime.
The theme is Hi-Ho Cherry-O. For dessert I'm going to make red velvet cakepops that look like cherries, and maybe mini cherry pies. But is there anything that goes along those lines for dinner?
If not, what's a good meal for a crowd? We did lasagna last year.
Re: What to serve for cherry-themed party?
That's SUCH a cute theme! My kids still love that game, BTW.
For my DS's 4th birthday, we did a hot dog themed party. Like your party, it was mostly adult friends and family, with just a few kids.
You could serve a salad like the Orchard Harvest salad Panera used to serve in the winter: mixed greens, pecans, diced pears, dried cherries, and gorgonzola crumbles tossed in berry viniagrette?
I usually host the family birthday celebrations for people on my side of the family. The kids usually pick their favorite meal. Adults with summer birthdays get something made on the grill. Winter birthday people usually get homemade pizza.
