Approx how long in NB size diapers?

How long did your LO stay in the NB sized diapers?  I was asking my neighbor who has a 3 week old who is no where near 10lbs and she's already in size 1.

How long in size 1?  I figure longer here?

    We were in NB size for a long time. E was 8.2lbs at birth and 21 inches long, but has been a slow gainer. She is 14 weeks now and we switched to size 1's maybe around 10-11w.She is probably around 12.5lbs now.

    I did not buy nearly enough NB dipes, I thought she would be in and out of them. 

    ETA: We tried size 1's early because the weight limits overlap, but they were HUGE on her.

    Hamp was in newborns forever, maybe 2 and a half to 3 months. He was in size 1's for about a month and a half, 2s for a month and a half, and now he's in 2-3s.

    for about a week - seriously. My kids were 7 lbs 8 oz and 7 lbs 5 oz - there really was no need for NB size.

    Andrew was 9lbs8oz and never fit into nb diapers.

    DD was 7lb 4 oz at birth but lost about a pound before leaving the hospital on day 5.... she wore the nb size until 8 weeks of age! :) FWIW, at all her pedi check ups, she was in the 50th percentile for weight, so there's a good chance your baby will be in them for a while too.

    They were born at 5.14 and 6.3 and were in NB until 5 weeks.

    Size 1 until 9 weeks (almost 12 lbs).

    We are into 2 now.


    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    DD was in NB's for about 6 weeks. She is still in a size 1 now, I tried size 2 yesterday and they are HUGE on her still.

    Around 5 weeks. He wasn't over 10 lbs then but we were having too many poop blowouts in the NB's at that point and moved up to size 1's.

    E was another baby that was in NB forever. We didn't move into size 1 until around 10-11 weeks. She was 6 pounds 5 ounces when born and slow to gain weight.

    I don't actually remember how long she was in size 1.

    After 20 months, 3 Clomid cycles and 4 IUI cycles, IVF #1 with ICSI = BFP!
