We've been through many ear infections in the past year and we have one that has gone through 3 meds and still won't go away. We had to go in for shots on Friday and Saturday and hopefully that worked. Our pedi is recommending I schedule an appt with an specialist for tubes. Can anyone recommend their doctor?
TIA!
Re: I guess it's time for tubes- recs?
I don't have first hand experience but am researching this b/c I think this is where Ava is heading. My BFF is a pediatric ICU nurse for CHOA and recommends Dr. James Thomsen. She thinks he is a great doctor and has great bedside manner. Good luck!!!

Millie had her surgery on Jan 18 and she hasn't been sick since. Seriously, no colds. No nothing.
We had Dr. Sipp at Pediatric Center of Atlanta. Dr. Sipp was one of the 3 that were recommended by my Pediatrician.
The surgery was fast and super easy. Millie didn't seem to even notice. They do go under anesticia but it wasn't more than 5-10 mins. I had my husband go back with her to watch her go under cause I didn't want to get emotional. But she came out of it and was just fine. Sometimes they say kids can be a little wild when they first wake up because they are disoriented but she woke up asking for Daddy. We kept her home for the rest of the day and she seemed to be not affected at all.

That's the big practice most people use. We saw Dr. Bathka (can't spell his whole name). We really liked him and NP who I saw last week for our post-op. He answered all our questions and was reassuring the day of surgery.
