I have the Graco that fits the infant seat which was good when they were babies (I still use that one when we go out to play for DS to sit in but don't take it anywhere else). I also have an umbrella stroller that I keep in the back of the car at all times (use if often). Then I have two doubles - the Graco Duoglider that I used maybe 3 times and a Maclaren Twin Techno that I absolutely love.
We have a infant seat stroller (Graco), and McClaren Triumph light weight umbrella, and we just bought a double stroller off Craigslist. I didn't think I'd need a double, but I totally did and now I love it. We still use the single and lightweight though when my DH and I are together. I don't think you really know WHAT you need until you're livin' it!
I have 3.
-Snap and Go (packed away now obviously)
-Macalren Techno Classic; light weight but can be used from birth up
-Britax Vigour- I wish I had this stroller first as it would have been my only stroller. It has an adapter for the infant seat, so no need for the snap and go, has a fully reclining seat so can be used from infant on up and is just all around a great stroller and is not super heavy either!
HTH!
:-)

We have two, a peg Aria that I thought would be my only stroller, and now I bought a jogger because I really needed to start working out and a gym in my area is very expensive. Now I use the jogger for almost everything and save the Aria for when we take the car somewhere (we live in NYC so that's less than weekly) since the jogger doesn't fit in my beetle We could have lived without the jogger, but it was my only option for weight loss and has been worth every penny.
OMG, we have so many! The giant one that takes the infant carrier that was part of a travel system, a snap and go that friends gave us, 3 umbrella strollers (one good one we registered for, one I got for free at BRU, and one I had to buy when I didn't have one in the car like I thought I did), and a double that friends gave us. Jeez, that's 6! Holy cow... I definitely need a really lightweight one, and one with a good basket underneath and cup holder for me and snack tray for dc - and those 2 are definitely not the same stroller.
1- Bugaboo Chameleon. We use this 90% of the time, and I LOVE it. It fits our daily needs perfectly.
2- Mia Moda Cielo. This is our airplane/travel stroller. The Bugaboo is not small and does not fold easily, so is a PITA to fly with, and we fly frequently.
3 - Jeep umbrella stroller. Shower gift, have not used it but I can see using it when he is older and walks most places as a very light back-up on long days
4 - I think I am going to get a MacLaren umbrella stroller, as well. Right now I use the Mia Moda when we take the subway places (the Bug is also a PITA on the subway), but I think a MacLaren may be better for that as Henry gets older. DH may kill me, but that is OK

I currently have 3, only one that I actually use and I hardly use that one anymore. I have owned at least 12, not more than 4 at any one point though. I like varity.
I do know several people that have only one stroller and have used that for 2-3 kids so it is possible. Most of those strollers are actually bigger, full sized stroller so it is possible.
We could have gone with just the jogger. We really didn't a lightweight stroller until much later. For trips to the grocery store, we just used the car seat/shopping cart.
We have 3. A Snap n Go we used with the infant seat, a Maclaren Techno umbrella stroller for mall trips, shopping, travel, and a BOB Revolution for neighborhood walks and jogging. I could probably get by with only the Maclaren, but I love having the jogger to go jogging with her. I would NEVER use a jogger as my only stroller--it is a PITA to fit in the car and super heavy.
i have 2. i have a snap and go for when i'm alone with charlie and/or when gloria is fine to walk. i have a joovy caboose for when i want them both in a stroller. i like having both options, but this is obviously different since it's 2 kids.
i had 2 with gloria: a regular one from the travel system and a jogger. if i knew then what i know now, i would have just gotten the snap and go for her. i love it. so lightweight and perfect. i'd suggest the snap and go (or similar small frame) to your friend. she'll be miserable with a giant stroller.
I have 2 and we need both. We like the bigger one (bugaboo) better since we like the way it handles. Sometimes the umbrella (graco ipo) is needed due to space issues. We use the larger one more.
I have a crappy graco metrolite that I never used past 4 months. I have a peg perego pliko lite that I love for quick outings in small places. I have a BOB revolution....a must for walking/jogging. I LOVE that thing and use if for everything now. I am not sure which jogger you have, but the BOB can be used for everything imo. I could have gone without the other 2.
I also just bought the Phil & Ted's sport with a doubles kit to use as our double stroller. I think I am going to love it, but I will tell you that after just strolling it around the house, I can tell that the BOB has WAY better handling, etc. But, the double BOB is ginormous, so that was out fo rus.

1. Mountain buggy urban (If I could only have one, this would be fine.) 2. Chariot double (I use this for shopping, running, and biking) 3. Snap N go -way better than any travel system 4. maclaren mod quest. Hate it 5. Joovy kooper bought to replace quest, It is ok, I could live without it.
Am I the only person that is perfectly happy with one stroller? haha! We have a peg pliko and it's perfect for us. It fits in the back end of my car, so I always have it with me. We use it at the mall, for walks outside, at the zoo...it's the only stroller we need (for now, anyway....we do have to get a double before April!) My mom insisted that I needed an umbrella stroller so she bought a cheapie one from walmart. I've literally never used it. It sits in my garage, completely unused, because I just have no need for it.

We have three, and will soon have 4, I think.

we have a phil & teds we use for walks or long days out.
we have a combi cosmo umbrella stroller we use for short trips, or places where space will be tight.
we have a snap and go we used all the time when he was in the infant seat - for short trips, or tight spaces.
and i just got a joovy caboose for when we have #2... but we also have the doubles seat for the P&T to use for 2 kids, too.
If i had room to store them, and more money- i'd have tons of strollers= i have a stroller fetish - i love them, like I love shoes and handbags.

You need at least 2. A lightweight "mall" stroller and a jogger for more rugged outings.
Though I have 3, I could have gone without our Peg.
Me with my littlest.
I have 4 lol.

We have a Graco single stroller, a Graco double stroller and a Jeep umbrella stroller.
2. Chariot double (I use this for shopping, running, and biking)
3. Snap N go -way better than any travel system
4. maclaren mod quest. Hate it
5. Joovy kooper bought to replace quest, It is ok, I could live without it.
I have 3
1. Bugaboo Frog -- All around my neighborhood, grocery shopping, going on long walks to the park etc (we live in a city)
2. Combi Snap N Go packed away, used to live in the trunk of my car and for the airplane
3. Maclaren Triumph, now lives in the trunk of my car and for the airplane -- did GREAT in NYC all over the subways too.
