  • With DS I didn't take my rings off until they were getting ready to wheel me into the OR for my unplanned c-section after being in labor for 18 hours at 39w2d.

I am 26 weeks now and I am still wearing my rings.  In fact, I'm getting a new ring on Monday!

  • Mine still fit. It's strange, but they actually feel like they are loose. I'm 28 weeks.
  • I just quit wearing mine ring last weekend.  It fits really tight so I don't want to take the chances of it getting stuck.  It feels weird not having it on.  I wore it my whole pregnancy with DD.

  • I'm so glad someone posted this.  I don't generally take off my rings.  I didn't take them off with DS #1 and had no issues.  I as well wore them into my unplanned CS.  This time about a week ago, 33 weeks prego it got rather hot and I have my rings sodered together but there's a small gap between them.  The skin has crept it's way up there and is causing me much pain.  I'm contemplating getting it cut off as I have big knuckles and have tried the numerous tricks to get them off and nothing has worked. Crying

  • Mine still fit.  In fact, most of the time they are too big and turn.  I'd like to get them sized, but will wait until I settle at a post baby weight to do so.

  • I turned 40 weeks on Wednesday and just took mine off a couple days ago because my hands swoll up. I haven't put mine back on because MIL said if I swell during delivery, they'll cut it off, so I just wear it around my neck for now. I'd hate to swell, not think about it and lose my ring!

Try putting your hand in ice (which will help with the swelling some and should shrink your hand down a little) and then lube up real good with cooking oil or some other oil based lube.  You will probably be able to sneak them off with a little twisting and pulling!

  • Still have mine on at 38 weeks. I never had to take them off with DD.
  • I can still wear them but they are getting snug. I had to take them off around 28 weeks with DD.
  • I'm 30w and 1d I stop wearing my rings at about 25 weeks. It was unbeleivably hard for me because they were my mom's ring and she passed away when I was fourteen. So whenever I looked at my rings before I saw my mom. I made a necklace from an old chain with the engagment and wedding ring but it's not the same, you know? I bought a cheep ring and I'm wearing that for the remainder of my pregnancy. I really hope the swelling in my fingers go down so I can get the rings back on ASAP!
  • Still wearing mine at 34w3d.  I take them off at night.
  • at 34 weeks I can still wear mine.  I do take them off from time to time though when they start to feel tight and let the swelling go down then back on they go.
  • I had to give them up at 37 weeks exactly.
  • I'm 33 weeks. I just took them off about a week ago. They still fit but real tight and it's just not comfy. I think it's cause it's been so hot lately.

  • Like my belly button, I thought they'd be gone weeks ago but they still fit every morning!  I make sure to take them off at night though, just in case!

  • The weather in NJ has been unseasonably warm, so I had to take my rings off this week.  I am now wearing them on my necklace.  : (
  • I haven't had to stop wearing mine after around 29w. I take my rings off every night and the night that they were super tight and it hurt to take them off I gave them up. I bought a fake cheapo to stand in until my fingers go down.

  • I stopped wearing them at about 32 weeks, mostly because it started to get really warm here and my fingers would swell up not only with the heat but because of water retention as well.
  • I'm 30 weeks and still wearing them. I will cry when I can't wear my rings anymore! :(

  • I stoped wearing mine about a week and a half ago. (32 weeks ish) Im sure some days that they will still fit, but I dont want to chance getting them stuck on if I swell up so I took them to get cleaned and put them away. At least they will look all shiny and new when I do get to wear them again!
  • I had to stop wearing mine already at about week 20.

  • Still able to wear them at 37 weeks.  Which is totally different from being PG with my son:  I stopped being able to wear them at 12 weeks.

  • 34 weeks and yes. Yes
  • I'm almost 36 weeks.  I took off my engagement ring and wedding band at 32 weeks when I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome - they still fit at that point, but I didn't want to take any chances with having them filed off.  I have a band that is one size bigger that I wear and it still fits, but there are days when they're hard to take off.  On those days, I run my hands under cold water and then pry them off

  • Mine is definitely tighter and I take it off to sleep. It seems to fit better in the morning so I'm still wearing it at 33 weeks.

  • I had to take mine off at 28 weeks.  Which is about a month longer then I made it with DS (they were off by 23-24w with him.)

  • Yes!  And very happy about it.  Unless I get really warm, then I start swelling.  With DD I had to take them off by 25 weeks.
  • 39 weeks and still wearing them.  I never took them off with DD, either.

  • I am still wearing mine....38wks!  I'm excited about it because I had to take mine off at about 20wks with ds.
  • 29 weeks. I miss them so much!
  • Still wearing them.  They really don't seem very much snugger than before I was pg.  Just like then, some days they're snugger than others, but nothing to worry me enough to take them off.
  • No rings for me - I'm 34w tomorrow.  Haven't been able to wear them since beginning of 2nd trimester.  :(
  • 30 weeks and they fit fine, some days tighter than others.  Oddly, I could not wear them from about 9-15 weeks -- they felt really tight, kind of hurt, and just annoyed me.  I started wearing them again around Christmas time.
  • I heard horror stories... and my SIL had to get hers cut off in the middle of her pregnancy and they couldn't be saved. I was too scared about that so as soon as I found out i was pregnant I took them off.

I bought myself a fake set. My fake set has bigger "diamonds" than my real set, and part of me thinks when I switch back i'll feel out of place with my real diamonds. LOL
