Who do you not BF in front of?

I haven't really mastered bfing in public (ds is a loud wiggly eater) but I have done it discreetly before. However I usually leave the room around my SDad and ILs. I also have a 9 yo step-brother who I don't nurse around, but his mom is crazy. Am I the only one who does this? I ask because the ILs are here now and I'm bored in my bedroom feeding DS.

My FIL, and my BIL/SIL. FIL because he's an old school Texan and I just feel funny about it. My BIL & SIL because when I have let them know I need to nurse they always show me politely to a back room and I take the hint!

I just play it by ear. I went to a party once and my friend the hostess said to BF wherever I wanted and no one would care. I do it anywhere in public too.

I only nurse in front of DH, my sister and my mom. I just dont have the technique down to NIP or around anyone else. Plus I wont lie I love being able to break away at family parties and snuggle DS and have some alone time.

If there is a room available, I would go to a room. I would feed in public, but when DD started getting loud when feeding I would try to go somewhere a little more private, even if in public.

I only BF totally sans cover in front of my Mom, sister, SIL and DH. It doesn't really affect me though because I just use my cover everywhere else. I don't care if something slips and they see something. I did by best to keep it "under wraps".

i use my hootie hider and bf in front of anyone-especially in my own home. i won't at church.

My 9 year old SIL. She is WAY too interested and has tried to "help" by trying to unsnap my bra, etc. Yikes! She's the only person I really avoid nursing around. Fortunately, they don't live nearby, so it's just when they're visiting that I hide out in my bedroom.

I thought I was not going to care as long as I had blanket to cover me. Then she was born! In the hospital I didn't care but I think you lose all modesty in there. Once home I only did it in front of my DH, mother and bestfriend. I always tried to cover myself even in front of them. I went into another room if anyone else was around.

This is the worse thing about BFing. I hate hiding away to another room and hearing everyone else out there. At my house I will not hide away but at families houses its like they think its ideal to banish me and LO! MOst of the time when I feed at home or out on back deck etc visitors cannot even tell if he is eating or just snoozing in my arms so its really not a big deal!

DD HATES being covered when nursing. She screams, unlatches, and just basically eats very little.

So, I do a TON of nursing in the car. I just don't feel comfortable NIP without the cover. At my house, I will only nurse in front of my DH, Dad, Mom, sister, BIL and a few of our friends. I mostly just go to another room.

my FIL always leaves the room and seems so uncomfortable. So he's basically the only one I dn't BF in front of. I use a nursing cover so I really don't see what the big deal is... I wouldn't have a problem w/ it if he didn't seem so weirded out by it!

When I was still able to BF (or even pump), I was super-uncomfortable any time the boarder came downstairs... I'd try to cover up really quick with a blanket or sweater, or anything else that was handy... I just did NOT want him seeing my boobs! And this was in our home... ugh. I hope we move out and he's nowhere around when I have my next one!

I will feed anywhere if I have my cover or a blanket. BUT DS gets distracted easily so if there are lots of people, I try to go someplace else. No matter how much I am covered my dad, brother-in-law and sister's boyfriend could not look away any more. It's actually pretty funny.
