Toy/book storage question....

I asked about the toy storage cubes last week, but have thought of another question. The bonus room in our house we are getting is above the garage, and so it has short walls with high slanted ceilings. I wondered what kinds of short bookshelves, etc anyone could recommend. I'm trying to get some ideas before we close and move in so that way I can start getting things and putting their toys away kind of quickly.

With this baby coming the end of September and not really knowing when we are going to close (short sale), I'd like the boys lives to be as normal as possible before baby gets here. :)

  • Ikea's Expedit bookshelves are cubes and are about 3 ft tall.

  • Duh (at myself). I remember you telling me about those last time I asked, and I have it saved in my favorites online for later. :)  I suppose I could use part for books or buy two, one for toys and one for books. The boys just have tons of books. I'm talking like three 1/2 regular sixed bookshelves full of books. I could just get a tiny bookcase. But was trying to look for something more "kid" I guess.

We have several pieces from the Expedit line in our basement play room and I LOOOOVE them!

All shapes and sizes for different toy storage.  Stand them on either end so they're tall or longer and shorter.  Great cloth storage cubes that fit right into the squares.

    LOVE them!

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
  • You could attach gutters around the perimeter of the room and use those to store books at an accessible level (or just do a small section and switch the books out as the kids get bored with them).
