2nd Trimester

Are you freaking kidding me?!

We recieved a note on our door just THIS MORNING that they are turning out water off from 9am to 6pm.  This means we have no working toilet on the entire property of this already crappy corporate housing compound (and yes I realized this after it was too late).  Who the hell decided it was a good idea to take all working bathrooms away from a pregnant woman?!  Seriously?

Ok angry rant over.

Well, they are probably trying to do it during working hours when most people are at work.

I figured as much, except for the fact that the majority of the people living here work nights (its in the Silicon Valley and those techy's love thier night jobs).  Either way its a long time to be without water.

literally!  haha.  Good excuse to spend the day at the mall, movies, etc.

  • That sucks, but unfortunately water doesn't magically appear so we all must suffer once in a while for our modern conveniences.  No

In addition to most people being out for the day, they also are probably trying to save money by working during the day.  If they work at night they have to pay overtime which would result in a higher cost for the water.

If there is still water in the tank you should be able to flush the toilet....but only once.  Use your flush wisely my friend.  Smile

Hope they surprise you and turn it on early!

Flush your faucets out when they are done.  Just long enough to get any air bubbles out.  That should clear out any sediment that may have gotten in there while they were working on the issue.

Ok, in that case - you can head over to Valley Fair / Santana Row and entertain yourself for hours!  Or head to the newly opened Happy Hollow Park & Zoo and check out their monkeys and other fun critters.  Or spend the day in SF if the weather holds.

ETA: you can also fill your bathtub up with water (when you still have it) and use a pitcher to refill your toilet tank after you flush.  That could get you by for quite a while.

  • ohh no! at least they let youu know.

go to a friend, or a family members house and spend the day with them or go shopping! [:
