Aquarium - Do's and Don'ts

DD is dying to go to the aquarium and we were downtown the other day and decided to just check it out.  It was super crowded which is probably the norm, but we would have waited for almost two hours to get in.

So....if she really wants to go. What is the best approach for going?  Do's and Don'ts would be greatly appreciated.

    Well your kids are older, but still, I wouldn't bring a stroller.   It does get crowded and they don't like strollers in certain exhibits.  

    Other than that, I don't have anything for you.   I've only been twice.

    buy your tickets online for a certain time slot.  they you don't have to stand in the ticket line when you get there, just the security line. i'd go during the week just not during spring break. :) last time we went we took the stroller. it was good as long as h would tolerate it bc she was contained. once she's out of it, she's off!

    Get there right before they open

    Go during the week while school is in right now or sunday mornings are usually pretty calm there

    We took DD as soon as the opened and it was great until about 11am.  At that point all the church/school groups started getting there and it was super crowded in no time.  I agree with pp; avoid strollers.

    If you don't really need a stroller to keep them contained, I wouldn't take it. I end up taking Owen out a lot so he can see better. It gets to be a pain with the in and out. It's not that crowded during a normal week, I don't know about Sundays though.
