ETA: I'm NOT pregnant...
BUT...Because I don't get a period ever, I test every month or two just so I don't end up on "I didn't know I was pregnant" or whatever that show is called...always with the 100% certainty that there's no way it will be +.
Well, last night using a Walgreens brand early result it looked like there may have been a line, but it wasn't really blue (like the dye) and was likely an imperfection in the test.
Fast forward to 6 am when I got up to pee again and the second line [ETA: on the test from last night] was clearly there (albeit faint) and blue. Color me WTF?! Googled and learned that with blue dye tests evap lines are more common and a bunch of stuff came up about not looking after more than 10 minutes becaues false positives are common that way. Just to be sure, got a FRER today and definitively negative.
As DH said, 90% relieved, 10% sad (we are not good candidates for 2 under 2 and would prefer not to have a second until Toodle is at least 3, although we would still be happy to not have to go through IVF again).
Re: PSA: Pay attention when they say not to look at HPTs after more than 10 mins...
hmmm was the 2nd test line there within the 10 minutes or after though?
So are you going to pee on a NON-blue dye test, just to be sure???
Blue dye (and walgreen's tests) are crap!!
I think you need to POAnotherS!!!
Gotcha. I thought you meant you woke up at 6 am AND POAS, not that it was the same stick from the night before.
I did - pink dye FRER and it is clearly NEGATIVE...really, I promise. hehe.
oh okay.. sorry BFNs suck!!!
