Pregnant after 35

Share your early betas with me please...

I am freaking out....my first was 401 HCG...

2 days later... 567

now they are saying they aren't feeling good about this...and I have to wait until Monday to go again. Anyone else have slow rising betas but still have a healthy pregnancy? Do I have any hope to hang onto here or should I just prepare for the inevitable. It's hard when you hear the grim tone in the nurses voice to keep the faith...but i'm trying!!

Re: Share your early betas with me please...

  • I got my BFP on 2/14. My first beta on 2/15 was 234, 2nd beta on 2/17 was 684, 3rd beta on 2/23 was 6,900.

I've had four previous pregnancies and my betas were never checked. This is the first pregnancy that they have been checked in light of my previous two losses. I am no expert but I will keep you in my thoughts.

  • When I found out I was pregnant on 3/23, they told me my beta with approx. 6,0000.  on 3/30 it was 37,851.  I go back Tuesday so I'm not sure what number it will be.  My doctor has also prescribed progesterone suppositories to keep my number up.
  • Mine didn't quite double- ever.  The doctor constantly was negative about my pregnancy being viable.  I don't remember all the numbers but it was something like 99 then 190 then 350.  Each time it was close but never doubled.  I'm now 21 weeks pregnant and everything is fine.  So it can happen.  Good luck!
