Okay, so I need some advice. About 2-3 weeks ago I transitioned my son to sleep in his crib at night. It took longer than I'd like but now he goes to sleep every night in the crib without a peep. I figured that once he was comfortable with the crib then we would transition his naps to the crib (he was either held while he slept or bounced to sleep in a bouncy seat). Well, this has been h*ll. We go in at 5, 10 15...but he will cry for hours. After an hour & a half of crying we figure what's the point. Every time we go in he is sitting up, sucking on his paci screaming. We put him back down & leave the room & it happens all over again. We've tried making it dark in the room, having quiet time beforehand, getting him to sleep before we put him down...everything that we can think of. Once we give up & bring him out he starts playing & doesn't seem tired anymore but when we try to put him down he is rubbing his eyes & giving us the same symptoms that he does at night. I don't know what to do! If I try to latch him on he'll fall asleep. Has anyone ever experienced this before?? Are there any tricks?? Am I doing something wrong??
Re: no napping in the crib but sleeps in there at night
I need the same advice.
DS has slept in his crib since we came home from the hospital. He STTN just fine, but I have a hard time when it comes to naps. He fights them big time, and I usually have to just let him CIO. I have been trying to get DS on a nap schedule for quite sometime, but I'm beginning to think it will never happen.
