I'm talking pre baby. I started leaking quite a bit about 3 weeks ago. In the morning and before bed I started expressing what I could so I wouldn't leak as much during the day or night, but it seems like I'm producing a lot more than when I first started leaking. I'm wondering if it's due to the expressing or if it's just because my body is naturally producing more.
Re: If you express colostrum will it increase the production?
This. Once you have the baby, expressing colostrum/pumping can help bring your milk in, but it's not recommended before the baby is born because it's a labor stimulant. Sort of sends your body a real mixed message, and hormones are fickle things.
