Infant day care in Roswell?

Can anyone recommend?  We are moving there from Smyrna.

  • I am looking for this as well.  I can tell you not to do Bright Beginnings off of Holcomb Bridge.

  • We had DD at Discovery Point (Old Alabama) for the past 3 weeks, but are now moving her to a daycare in Smyrna...decided it would be better to have her closer to home for several different reasons (I work in Roswell, which is why she was up there in the first place).

My friends had a good experience at D.P., but I was not impressed at all.  I guess you get what you pay for?!?  It was only $185/week (negotiated rate b/c that is what a friend had), and honestly it was just your stereotypical daycare.  I wasn't happy with the teacher to child ratio...while it fell within the GA limits, I just never felt there was enough manpower.

The teachers in the infant room are very nice, but I always just got the impression this is just a "job" to them and nothing more. When I checked in yesterday and told the woman at the front desk that it was Katie's last day, she just said, "Oh...OK!"  Nothing more.  Later, when I was leaving, I stopped the owner to ask her if I needed to fill out any paperwork since it was Katie's last day...she just said, "Nope! Bye!".  It was weird.

And, on top of that, if you Google "Discovery Point Roswell", you won't see too many good reviews...

  • Check out The Goddard School at Crabapple and Primrose School of Mansell Rd. There is also Young Life Academy, but I don't know as much about them. Good luck!

  • There is also a Primrose off of Crabapple, a Goddard off of Woodstock Road, Crabapple Academy on Rucker Rd, and Kids R Kids off of Crabapple.  I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones i pass on a regular basis.
  • Oliver goes to the Goddard School in historic Crabapple.  We are really happy with him there.  The people are great, the food is all organic, and they are always doing fun projects and art activities.  The only down side is that it is pricey and they do close for training events more than other facilities.  The other one we really considered was the Primrose on Crabapple which seemed really nice and is closed a lot less than Goddard.

  • Are any of the Goddard or Primrose schools under $200/week?
