I don't know what it is I guess. When I just read the title of the post I was thinking just a bottle of water in the nursery to have for you when you nurse because those early days you WILL get super thirsty while nursing. But if it's something people are buying, then I have no idea.
Ok, I googled it and it seems to just be distilled water with fluoride added....which I thought too much fluoride in a young child wasn't good? I know it's in most municipal waters but I don't think I'd buy bottled water with it but what do I know.
Edit: I guess this is what people use to mix with formula is likely while they're buying 4-5 at a time. These are probably the same people who don't drink tap water themselves and buy oodles of bottled water.
My friend uses it for her DD's formula because their water is so hard that it clogs the faucets on a weekly basis. She doesn't trust the filters to get much of the buildup out. Also I believe it's floride (why does it look like I spelled that wrong?) free.

It does have fluoride. I know that my doctor asks me often if we have local water (as opposed to well - which is common here) because he wants to know if they are getting enough fluoride.
From what I understand (from my doctor) is that if your city water has fluoride in it, you don't need to be supplementing with it.
Personally I only drink tap water anyhow. It's often tested to be as good if not better than bottled and it is sure a lot cheaper!

Friends of mine used it because they had a well and wanted to make sure their son was gettting flouride. That and there can be bacteria in a well. I know people get them tested, but I guess they just wanted to be sure.

We use it for this reason. ?We have reverse osmosis for us to use the well water, but we started noticing small spots on DS teeth so we just started using the nursery water this weekend. ?I would rather him drink that than use actual floride drops and he hasn't gone to the dentist yet for them to apply floride. ?(I think he may be too young for that anyway...I'm not sure.)

And, something that just creates more trash. Bottled water is simply filtered tap water. Save money and prevent plastic use by using a filter.

Oooops! I stand corrected!
