Last week I started getting a crazy itchy rash on my boobs that has now spread to the top of my stomach and inner thighs. Very red and so itchy. In addition, I have noticed a cluster of broken blood vessels around the base of my neck/d?collet?. This was definitely not there pre pregnancy. Anyone else dealing with this or other crazy skin issues?
Re: Crazy skin issues????
Try aveeno for the rash. I'm not sure Cortaid is allowed, especially over an area that big.
I have a weird brown patch that is at the base of my neck- maybe 3 by 4. It has a weird texture- like it's dead skin but I can't get it off. It's been there for months. And skin tags- lots on my neck- one big on in my armpit but that guy accidentally got shaved off a few weeks ago. I'm sure there's something else I'm forgetting. :-)
Welcome to my world ladies. I'm on my 4th round of antibiotics and working with a dermatologist with the various skin issues I'm dealing with during my pregnancy. It really really SUCKS and I know how you feel. Thankfully in my case its not PUPPS or other common pregnancy skin issues. I have a history of dermatitis that has been pretty dormant for years but once I got pregnant, all hell broke loose on my skin - blah! On top of dealing with that, I learned that I'm super allergic to lanolin, which most lotions include so I have a special lanolin free lotion I use (CeraVe). Lanolin is also in topical creams so I have to use greasy ointments instead since I have no reactions to that. My dermatitis has been so super sensitive that I can't use any perfumes & dyes so that means all our laundry detergents, soaps, shampoos, beauty products and cleaning supplies have to all be perfume/dye free. As for the rounds of antibiotics, not only is it helping with my dermatitis, I also picked up a staph infection/contact dermatitis around 16/17 weeks and have been dealing with that since. I hope no one has to ever deal with the same crazy skin issues I've had!
I cannot wait until my pregnancy is over and hormones starts to settle down so I can feel 'normal' again!
