well I gave up and she CIO

and it worked!

I couldn't stand to listen so I cleaned.  She is sound asleep.

 

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........but why do I feel so guilty?

  • Way to go!  Don't feel guilty.  Sleep is good for her and you aren't causing any permanent damage by letting her cry!  You're teaching her how to fall asleep on her own.  I hope it gets easier soon!

  • Ditto pp.  I tried to think of it the same way, you're just letting her learn something on her own and teach herself.  Which can be frusterating for you both but will be awesome in the end.  It will get easier way quicker than you think it will.

  • I know it is so hard to listen to, but sometimes you just have to do it.  I have sat in the bathroom with the water running and in my car in the garage just so I wouldn't have to listen to her cry!  But it does work!

  • Sleep training P early on was HARD but so worth it.  Hope you get some good rest, Mama!  Gonna need it for all those job interviews!!  :)
