Mom: So, what are your plans for if this whole breastfeeding thing doesnt work out?

Me: Um, I'll use formula.

 Really, what does she think, I am going to starve the baby??

    You shoudl tell her that if the baby won't take to breast feeding he/she is on their own.  Ungrateful brat.

    I will say though: I was surprised to learn that my DH didn't breastfeed or take formula. He refused. MIL had to soak cereal or something and mush it up and feed that to him right away. Totally weird.
