Britax & Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Anyone have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Britax convertable car seat?  I am trying to figure out whether to buy a roundabout or Marathon and can't decide.  Our infant seat (maxi cosi mico) only fits in middle of back seat because its so long, if I put it behind passenger then I have to move seat all the way forward.  Does Marathon fit ok behind a seat or if in middle can you see over it?  It seems taller than roundabout. TIA, I don't live anywhere near a store to check them out...I will have to order online.

Re: Britax & Jeep Grand Cherokee?

  • Our Roundabout fit in my aunt and uncle's Cherokee rear-facing, but the front seats had to be scooted almost all the way forward. It was uncomfortable for my uncle driving (he's tall). I would think the Marathon would have that same problem.

  • I had bought a Britax and found out at a carseat inspection that it wouldn't fit in my car safely.  They recommended going to BRU because they let you take their carseats outside to try in your car.  I haven't done it yet, but that's our plan when we need one.

  • unfortunately we can't bring our car to a BRU b/c we live on an island, even if we go off island we would be driving a different car.
