Crossposted Nursery - baby italia pinehurst crib

I just saw an amazing deal on this crib off amazon but it doesn't have very high customer ratings. I don't have my baby bargains book on me, but can anyone check the rating on this crib for me please? Anyone have this crib and can give a recommendation?

    It ranked well in baby bargains which is why we bought it 3 years ago. It's a great crib IMO. Very sturdy and well built. I am pleased with the purchase and if I had to rebuy it, I would. We also purchased the matching dresser.

    I think there are 2 versions of this crib.  We have the baby italia pinehurst crib in espresso with all solid sides.  I think they also have a versiont that the front is a drop side.  We LOVE our crib.  It is extremely solid and stable.

    It is slated all around and is a dropside crib.

    I don't know anything about the dropside version but the non-dropside is also slated all the way around is very sturdy and well built.

    yea my only concern is that it is dropside and I can't seem to find another website that has this exact same model.

    I just found an article online saying this model was RECALLED in August 2009! How can they still sell this!
