When my pump is running, you can hear alot of air escaping around that plastic plug in the middle. Just the other day I noticed if I hold that plug down, the wheezing stops and it seems to work better. (And better than simply turning it up.)
Is it just me?
I know the 6-12 board is kind of late to ask. . . but I've had issues since day one and I might be oblivious to my pump working incorrently unless it was completely broken! I've I have the Advanced Pump In Style (if that makes a difference).
Re: Is My Medela Pump Working Correctly?
Are you doing both boobs at once? Or just one side?
When you're pumping one side only, the little yellow plug is supposed to cover the hole of the side you're not using...
Both boobs. It's the part where that plug connects in the very middle where air is coming out. . . not the part where it comes out to cover the holes if you need it.
