Check out Baby Depot at Burlington Coat Factory. We got a cute white dress, not a long gown. They also have some adorable Easter Dresses if you'd like to add some color to the mix GL!
This! The Joli is what we chose for DD and it was super cute and the material was really soft.
Look at that boy in the dress! I don't think DH would be standing for that one! We put him in a little white (yes satin) suit. It was cute. He wore it for 3 hours I'm glad I only spent $20 on it.

i can just see DD having a diaper blow out on the way to the church and ruining a $120 dress.....so not happening! where did you find a suit for $20??

TOTALLY happened to us. Thankfully I didn't put DD's dress on until after the regular mass. When we went to change her diaper and put her dress on before the Christening she had the biggest poop of her life up her back. God was watching over us that day

Burlington Coat Factory. It was pretty cheaply made too but like I said he wore it for 3 hours and I don't plan on packing it in tissue paper and keeping it forever. I don't like to have crap laying around. I'm just not that type. I don't dig the clutter. I would prefer to have other keepsake things. GL chicka!
Check out pic in siggy (all the way to right). we used a white sundress with ruffles from The Children's Place for $20. I did that with DD#1 also. So much easier and she can wear it this spring too. I hate satin sily dresses. I think it is too much IMO.
Re: ideas for baptism dress that isn't traditional white satin??

Gee Why not? They are so practical!
