Sienna mini-van?

This has nothing to do with my current pregnancy, but if we have a girl next time...

Our top girl name is Sienna. We are a Toyota family, and my DH really wants to get a Toyota Sienna. I have an issue with this. How can you have your daughter's name the same as your mini-van?! He doesn't have a problem with it. I personally don't want a mini-van at all and told him we can name our future daughter Sienna (it was his pick originally) only if he promises we never own the mini-van, lol.

What do you think? Does it matter? Would you avoid the name if there's a chance you might become a Sienna mini-van owner?

    I would avoid having a car with the same name as my kid. That's why we didn't name our daughter Trail Blazer. :) 

    But seriously, I really like the name Sienna. Totally cute. I'd pick the name over the car. Good luck convincing DH!

    Hold strong on no mini vans!  I'd definitely pick baby over car.

    Don't hate on the minivvan!  I didn't want one either, but when DH's car broke down and the neighbor was selling theirs on the same day, we went for it.  I was pissed at first, but that thing has made my life so much easier.  We have three kids and they're separated, if they need help, I can do it without squishing someone else, they can get in and out by themselves at the same time, no fighting over who HAS to sit in the middle, etc.  It's awesome.  But if you want to name your baby that, get a different kind of minivan!

    FWIW, I was anti-minivan until we got one (a Sienna, ironically).  I love the dumb thing.  You couldn't pry it away from me!

    Maybe if he has to get one you can convince him to own one Honda and get the Odyssey.  Surely he'd never want to name a child that (although I'm sure someone has).

    But I really dislike the name Sienna. I don't like the sound and I don't like the association to the car name.

    I think this...by the time you get pregnant again and are ready to give birth you may not like the name anymore or may not have purchased the car.  This whole post is silly.

    I'm not anti-minivan as a rule... we test drove the Sienna before we bought our FJ Cruiser and I just didn't like driving it. But you can't argue with that amount of convenience and cargo space. And he definitely doesn't want to name our daughter Odyssey, so I think we would be ok with the Honda... if I like it! lol
