1st Trimester

XP, Measuring ahead?

Last Friday I went to the Dr. and was 7 weeks 1 day, today I was measuring way ahead at 8weeks, 4 days...

Isn't that a little crazy?

  • Since I have insomnia right now and you haven't received any replies...

It does seem crazy, but it happens often. I have measured a week ahead at a few appointments and then I've also had appts where I was measuring a few days behind. It just depends on growth spurts and as long as you are within a certain range everything is considered fine.

  • babies grow at different rates, it's really not that crazy.  Full term is considered 37 weeks but you can go all the way to 42 so you have a 5 week window to deliver a full term baby.  1 weeks and a few days is nothing to get too excited about in the long run:)

Thanks hon. I figure its just fine, but am def. on edge since my last preg. ended in miscarriage.

  • i was like that as well with my first.  I had a u/s to date at 6wk 1 day.  then scheduled my NT scan for 12 weeks.  I was 12 wk 6 days.  it was kinda wierd.   but it happens.
