i decided not to go with the toddler bed and go for the twin bed - i went to some local furniture stores (i.e. furniture row) and they are around $500+ - I'm looking for the $200 range. Is that possible? Has anyone recently bought one?
I got pregnant with PCOS after many years of IF! Thank you Lord!

Re: where to buy inexpensive twin bed?
IKEA has several options for $200 and below. They don't all appear on their website though. The nice thing about their beds is that you don't need a box spring. We have a queen size version of this bed in medium-brown:

and have been quite happy with it.
ETA: Looks like Target.com has some too--I don't know if you can ship it to a store to avoid shipping costs or anything though.
We got a mattress and box spring for $108, call places and see if any are doing a discontinued fabric sale. It's that time of year, and we got an awesome mattress for cheap just because they are changing the fabrics.
We don't have the frame/headboard yet, since we are moving we are waiting on that. Right now it's just sitting on the floor.
thanks for the ideas - i don't have a membership to the discount stores (sam's etc) but i could always figure something out....and totally forgot about ikea! thanks again!

Ditto Ikea.
The Costco mattresses were expensive, in my experience.
