If you use overnight diapers

did you go up a size from your daytime diaper? I just read a post on 24+ and it looks like a lot of moms do this. I just bought a box of overnights and am wondering if I should return them. We have been using target diapers for the last few months, size 5 and she is starting to leak at night. So I bought Huggies size 5 overnights. Should I return for a size 6-it just sounds so big!

DS wears size 5 Baby Dry and we use size 5 Huggies Overnights w/ no problems.

We use size 4 Target during the day and Huggies Overnights size 5 at night...no leaks!

Yes you do need to go up a size for the overnights.

Yes----we do size 5 pampers in the day and 6 huggies overnights--and have been sizing up for quite some time now--and RARELY ever get a leak.

not really - it depends on how much they pee.

dd2 is only 22lbs. which is on the very small side for size 4's. and STILL wears a 6 at night.

Usually we use size 4 for day and any (overnight, regular whatever is cheapest) size 5 for nights - no leaks. We were traveling so we just bought size 4 overnights for both day and night use. Most nights they were okay - though they did leak twice at night out of 7 nights.

We only go up when she is getting close to outgrowing the daytime diapers. Right now she is in 4s for both day and night.

Target brand seems to be bigger than the Luvs we usually buy (I just bought my first pack of Target).

We use the same size overnights as day time diapers.

Sorry, those are two separate statments. One being "It depends", and the other a question about how big her LO is.

We definitely do 1 size up. But he is in need of a size 6 soon (2 sizes up).

DS wears a size 4 in Pampers Cruisers (his daytime diaper) and also wears a 4 in Huggies overnight. You'll be glad you got Huggies. We tried Pampers overnight diapers first, and they were crap! He woke up soaked every morning. We haven't had any issues since we've been using Huggies overnight diapers.

DD wears the same size in her day and night diapers (size 4). We use Pampers for both and have never had a problem with either diaper.
