First, let me say that DD is BIG for her age - above 95th for length and weight. I think she's now about 25 lbs.
So, do you still use the front carry or have you moved to back carry? How easy is it to get LO onto your back (w/o help)? I am watching the instructional DVD and it just looks complicated. I have not tried it yet with DD but I am afraid I will drop her. She's very squirmy!
Also, I know it seems silly but I am afraid of having her in the back, because then I won't be able to see her. I am sure she'll be fine but for some reason I am nervous.
Thanks!
Re: If you use the Ergo and your baby is 6+ months please come in for a sec
I still do the front carry sometimes, like when I know he will fall asleep. Mostly though I find it more comfortable to wear him on my back. I always start from a sitting position (in the car or on the couch.bed at home) and make sure the shoulder straps are very loose so I can easily pull them up and around him. Then I pull them over my shoulders and tighten them up well.
He prefers to be on my back now, since he can see more. I'm pretty short, so if I get him high enough he can see out over my shoulder.
REI sells a mirror on a retractable cord, so you can look at your child when they're in a back carry.
it's pure genius.
