Does your almost 2yo do a lot of imitating?

When my husband talks and is describing something he uses his hands a lot.  My son sits there and does everything he does with his hands-so funny.

My DH and DS are watching dirtbiking and skateboarding on TV and he lifts his legs when he is laying on th ecouch and throws his arms up as the riders on TV jump jumps. 

Is this a normal stage-it is hysterical!

    Yes..we call him our little parrot.  He repeats everything with hand gestures included.

    Yes.  And will repeat every word he hears during our phone conversations.  He's my echo.

    Yep, my DD does that all the time!  She also copies EVERYTHING we say!!!

    Yes! I learned that the hard way too! I had on Annie because dd LOVES to dance to the music of Hard Knock Life...well I let it keep playing and when Annie rescues Sandy the dog in the alley way and punches those boys out, Corrina put up her dukes! I half laughed and gaped, but then I turned off Annie!

    OMG Heather!  If that is what your H and DS do then we need to meet up!  H and DS watch dirtbiking all the time.  he loves to sit on the dirtbike too and loves to rev the engine!  I love boys!
