Elma and Amna - siblings?

Do they go together? Or does it sounds weird?

  • It sounds too matchy matchy. Elma is an old ladies name. Amna sounds made up. Just way too much going on for me to dislike.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!

  • Well, yes, since they rhyme they are too matchy for siblings. The bigger problem is that they're both awful.
  • I don't think you should try to coordinate sibling names too much.

I think if you wanted them to be of the same style it wouldn't be too bad. For example I know sisters named Catherine and Tabitha which are similar in style but not matching.

My name is Jennifer and my sister is Pamela, once again similar in style but not matching.

I think for sisters it's important to names that are equally beautiful but that don't sound the same.

     This.  Sorry.

  • Way too matchy. I've also never heard Amna and don't exactly think it rolls off the tongue.

    This.

  • I took care of elderly sisters named Elma and Alma.they are just oldfashioned names, nothing wrong with that.
  • Never heard of Amna before, it's NMS. Not really a fan of Elma. I do like Alba and that's similar though. For siblings I would say that Amna and Elma are way too matchy matchy.
