is not going so well...I have such a headache ( Hopefully my body will get used to it fast or I am going to need a lot of naps when DS naps!

No kidding, that was the worst part of the first couple of weeks. ?I used to NEED coffee just to function in the morning. ?The headaches can be brutal. ?I started drinking a VitaminWater and that seems to get me moving . . . or I've just gotten used to it :-)
You should try to taper yourself off gradually. When I was in for my seven-week appointment I had a major headache and my doctor said, "You know you can have 200mg of caffeine, right? Try that."
I have the occasional soda and I had some tea this morning. Felt like a total rebel lol.

This I know too (from when I was pg with DS) but I figure if I can do without then I will. That's how I did it while pg with DS and that's how I plan on doing it now with this pregnancy.

There is no need to suffer, if you don't have to. I am used to drinking lots of caffeine every single day, and cut back to one cola a day. My OB said it is better to gradually cut back, less chance of a headache and other withdrawal symptoms.
make sure you drink lots of water that really helped me especially with the headaches oooo and decfe coffee is just as good if you miss the taste too much just tell yourself ther is caffeine in it sneaky
I am on day #2 of no coffee and I LOVE my coffee in the morning. DR said I can have one cup but I have decided to try my hardest to not having any. I figured that would leave the door open for me to have a cup if I really needed one on a bad day. Thinking about switching to decaf so I can just have the taste of it....
I switched to half calf for several weeks before cutting out the caffeine. I no longer drink coffee (more because it sounds disgusting right now) and no headaches. Hope this helps.

I switched to decafe and then coffee started making my ms symptoms even worse. I had LOTS of headaches for the first month and it's getter better now. I drink a coke and take aceteminephine when needed. Some days I have to sleep it off.
I was a 2 Mountain Dew a day drinker. I have cut back to about 4 to 8 oz in the morning. Like the other ladies said the symptoms are worse if you do it cold turkey.
Re: Day 1 of no caffeine...
Oooh you are braver than I am. I'm going with the "seriously cut back on caffeine" method. I need my tea in the morning!
Good luck! I hope you feel better soon!

I am trying one no-water drink a day...so giving myself a little room to have caffeine if I really want it.
I have been told apples have a kick in them that can work similar to caffeine. So...maybe try that??
