Hi girls, I asked the other day about my son possibly being constipated and most of you recommended I give him some organic prune juice to help him out. I bought some today at Whole Foods but guess what? He POOPED! Hooray! Looks like I won't need it after all but it's nice to have it handy.
Nonetheless, I still have a few questions...
1) His poop was very thick, is that expected when they begin solids?
2) Should I still give him the prune juice to help "soften" the poop?
3) If so, how much? An ounce in his usual 6 ounce bottle? Or should I give him 1 ounce of juice in a 5 ounce bottle to equal the 6 ounce he usually drinks?
4) I saw not fron concentrate and from concentrate. I got the not from concentrate, is that the right one?
Thanks! I'm still new at this whole solids thing.![]()
Re: So I bought adult prune juice, now my questions.
"You're gonna miss this You're gonna want this back You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast..."
Since he pooped try adding some to his solid food, then if it gets too runny add some oatmeal (or rice cereal) to it.
Yay for pooping babies!!
