refusing liquids- at what point should i worry?

dd has been on a no liquids kick the last three days- she is only drinking between 10-12 ounces a day. i have been offering liquids non stop, milk, juice, water, anything, but she just doesn't want them. she feels just fine, and i don't see any signs of teeth in her mouth, and she's not being fussier than normal. i just don't get it. the only thing that has changed was that the doc had me put her on miralax on wednesday to help with her constipation, but why would that make her not want to drink?

i would call the pedi, but they are closed today, obvs. thanks.

  • Does your pedi have an after hours line? If so, I would call them. I have never had to deal with anything like this. Good luck!

  • Is she still getting enough wet diapers? Pedi's will probably make you count those to estimate how she is. Marley refused liquids when she was teething and when she is all stuffed up. Maybe she has a cold coming on?

no, no cold. she's completely fine. no snot, no nothing. and i don't see any swelling on her gums, any redness... this is just mind boggling.
