Success after IF

NSAIFR: I love my house but hate my neighbors

Until a year ago we loved our house *and* our neighbors.  We went OOT last July and came back to new neighbors on both sides.  And life has been more difficult ever since!

Honestly, it's to a point that we're talking about moving even though we love it here and would have to give up a lot if we left.  The most troublesome neighbors are rentors, so it seems silly to let them run us off (and they're completely within their rights to do what they're doing, it just makes things more difficult on us)  But still.  *Sigh*

Jus venting.

  • You and I are in the same boat. When we moved here it was such an awesome neighborhood and everyone around us was great. That is until everyone started selling left and right leaving us with horrible neighbors. I am sandwiched together by two renters too that just do not care about stuff and throw their wrappers on the street etc.

I can't sell because my house is worth less then what we owe, so all I can do is pray they move soon!

Ugg - I vented in your vent... I totally feel your pain!

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!

  • me too!  I love our house, but not so much the neighborhood.  My sister who lives 20 minutes away has an awesome neighborhood.  Everyone is friends with each other and it's such a nice community.  I stupidly thought when we moved to our neighborhood I would be so lucky.  Not so much.

My sister keeps telling me to sell our house and move into her subdivision.  Yeah like it's that easy.  If we were to buy a house now we would incur a mortgage- which we do not have.  We totally own our house, so for now I will suck it up and deal.

  • We're also in the same boat.  When we bought our house, there were tons of young families.  They've all slowly moved (except the ones across the street, who are our saving graces!) and have been replaced by lots of renters and one family that I am SURE are drug dealers.  And today DH and I noticed that two houses at the other end of our block are foreclosures.  We had been planning to sell this Spring so we could move back near family, but we owe more than our house is worth at this point.  It sucks.
