I need ideas. My parents sent me $500 birthday cash. The only stipulation was that it is not to be used for anything baby related. They know me too well - the first thing I did was look at PBK and consider a play kitchen.

Sooo....I'm having trouble thinking of things I really want and need. If you had $500 to spend - what would you buy? I'd love to buy clothes, but I'm still working on getting back into shape after the new baby, so I don't really feel like buying new clothes yet. I was thinking of a purse, but since I've got the diaper bag 90% of the time, that may not be a great choice, either.

Give me some ideas!

Hm. I'd definitely say clothes, but if you're working on losing weight, I guess that doesn't help. Can you save the card for a while?

You could buy new pairs of shoes.

I would buy home decor things because my house has very little! I can never commit to anything to put on my walls for some reason.

Spa Day or a personal trainer at the gym. I've always wanted to do one, but could never justify the $$!

If it were me, something for my camera, new clothes, maybe a new purse. You could also pamper yourself- a massage and pedi wouldn't even cost half of what they gave you at spas around here. You have been given the opportunity to splurge on yourself- I say go all out!

Well, if I was given $500 it would go toward debt or in savings (though that's probably against birthday money rules too). If I had to spend it on something not baby related, I'd probably buy new work clothes for spring/summer.
