How do I wash CD for the first time?

I've been trying to find out how I should wash my pre-folds prior to use, and am not really sure what needs to be done.  Mine did not come w instructions :(

One thing I read said to wash them 5 times w hot water and detergent, and then once more without detergent.  Then it said to dry it on hot.  Then I read somewhere else NOT to dry them on hot.  And would I dry them after each wash??  Would I wash the covers that much as well?

What do you ladies do?  Help!

    I bet the answer is in the EFF blog... anybody have a link?

    I washed my prefolds 4 or 5 times on hot and dried in between each wash. Be sure to use CD approved detergent. I only washed the covers once.

    Drying in between washes really speeds up the process.

    I use detergent each time.

    I never dry on hot.  But PFs are kinda indestructible.
