Maybe this is a stupid question...

I figured this may be the right board to post this on since this is for newbies.  What are the points used for?  I haven't been on here in awhile and they didn't have that a few years back.  Thought maybe someone could shed some light.  Is there a rewards system or something for how often you post?  Thanks in advance.  I tried searching the whole website and can't find anything.

    The points don't really mean anything. I've never seen anyone say they were worth anything significant. HTH.
