DD currently is still using her highchair. With LO#2 on the way we're thinking we may need to start moving DD into her own seat at the table so that when #2 needs to use her highchair, she possibly won't freak out. The problem is, our current table is no good for kids. It has a glass top and top heavy iron chairs. I'm willing to go out and buy a new set, but I don't want to waste the $$$ right now if DD won't be able to sit at the table anyway and I'm better off with 2 highchairs. Am I crazy for thinking she might be able to sit at the table like a big girl when she's 2 1/2 (and LO#2 is 4 months)? When did you/ do you plan on making the move the a regular seat at the table?

Re: When to move from high chair to regular chair?
DS has sat on a safety 1st booster seat since he was 9 months. He loves it, and always has.
We initially switched him because he had surgery, and the docs didn't want him to hit anything on the hard piece in the middle of the highchair. We were worried that he would hate it but he loved it from the first time we used it.
ETA: And, honestly, it is sooo much easier to clean then a highchair! Wipe off the table with a sponge, maybe wipe of the hard seat, and done. No fabric to clean! No hidden crumbs in the corners. I love it.
