What are you putting in DC's Easter basket?

Looking for ideas. I've got Hello Kitty plastic eggs, stickers, books, wind up toys all from Target. As a special treat, I do have m&m's for her. I will prob get her a decorated Easter sugar cookie from McEntyre's. Stuffed animals are hit or miss with her and we already have a ton. What else?

  • I hit the dollar section of Target for books and toys and I will probably toss in some Reeses candy.

  • I like to do chalk and bubbles.  My kids always get their pool gear (goggles, waterwings if needed, pool toys)  all outside stuff because I am so so so ready for nice weather.  It is all stuff I would buy anyways.  They always get chocolate bunnies too!
  • Not much, because she gets an Easter basket from both sets of grandparents and something from her grandparents. But here's my list:

-a couple books from the $1 bins at Target

    -plastic egg full of m&ms

    -sidewalk chalk

    -coloring book

I got DDs some plastic eggs (not sure what, if anything, I'll put in them), some crayons, a couple books (one set religious, one set not), chocolate bunnies, and bubbles.  I think that's it.

  • I bought some stuff last year on clearance - little people set and some extra little people, mini doodle pro, small bubble set, etc. I also got her a small chocolate bunny. Trying not to buy any more stuff since I got stuff on clearance last year.

  • Both boys are getting a new swimsuit, baseball cap, flip flops, playdough, a chocolate bunny and a few eggs with jelly beans in them. Then Grant is getting a new game for his Leapster and Reid is getting 2 new Thomas trains.

  • These are great ideas ladies! As a child I only received candy and stuffed animals (yes, my dentist LOVED my family...). I never even considered bubbles or summer stuff (bathing suits, goggles, etc). I love the idea! I think this year we will be starting our own tradition. Thanks for the idea!
  • Jack is getting a Thomas the Train "Cranky the Crane", only because I got it for almost half off and have no other holiday to give it to him for until Christmas!  And an Easter Thomas the Train.  Ethan's getting a bubble machine and extra wands, the boy loves bubbles!

They are both getting book sets from the dollar bin, candy, and I guess I could throw in a bathing suit set that I already bought them and they would get anyway :)  Need to go get some big wicker baskets to put everything in.

  • Alec is getting a leapster that I bought a while back for super cheap.

I'm also giving each a set of the plastic golf clubs from Walmart.  We did this last year for Alec and they were a hit.  He has lost all his balls and mommy and daddy have broken his clubs swinging in the back yard:)

Also getting eggs filled with gummies, jelly beans, and chicks (organic goldfish).

Do not give your kid colored peeps..they stain like crazy.  I learned that last year.

  • Noah is getting coloring books, board book about Easter (religious), a bunny rabbit stuffed animal, bubble wand and sidewalk chalk. I was going to get him a "toy" of some kind but saving those for when Caleb arrives as a gift to the new big bro. And I will add in a new swimsuit if I can find one I like
