Thankfully she's fine but it gave me quite a scare! I have to confess we haven't done the best job baby proofing. Hannah is a year old but she doesn't crawl and only walks when we're holding her hands. She still rolls to get around. Apparently she rolls faster than I realized and we need to out up gates on our stairs.
She was in her bedroom playing and I went into the office in the room right next door. I was in there for less than a minute and I heard a loud noise and then Hannah crying. I ran to her room and couldn't find her so I checked the bathroom and guest bedroom with no luck. I finally looked over the bannister into the foyer and saw her on the landing. Our stairs go down about 8 steps have a landing and then turn and go down another 5 steps into the foyer. She rolled all the way down the hall and around the corner to get to the steps.
When I got to her I checked her head and limbs and everything seemed to work ok and she didn't have any obvious red bumps. She calmed down pretty quick and I kept checking her eyes and head. Thankfully the steps are carpet and she didn't make it all the way to the wood floor in the foyer. She seems totally fine but I can't let her out of my site for a second!
Re: Hannah fell down the steps today:(
" I checked her head and limbs and everything seemed to work ok"
LOL
I am glad she is ok. I am sure she just scared the crap out of herself.
