im so getting flamed but i hate PW blog. ive made a few things that nesties said were great and it was just mediocore, i dont get the draw to her. The few times i made stuff from her i had to change it and add stuff to get more flavor or just to get it to taste great.

I made Irish Soda Bread for St Patrick's Day that used buttermilk. It's not a main dish which is what I think you're looking for, but we ate it with dinner.

Or you can use it to coat fried chicken (or fried/breaded any meat really) instead of eggs.
I was going to say cup cakes.
I make a delicious key lime cup cake that calls for buttermilk or yogurt.
When I hear "buttermilk" I think two things:
1) Fried chicken
2) Cornbread (which then makes me think of chili)
