Anyone have SPRINT as their cell phone provider.

we are thinking about switching to them and am wondering about coverage and internet speed. Thanks.

Re: Anyone have SPRINT as their cell phone provider.

  • I have them as my cell provider and the service has gone downhill lately.  I would go with AT&T if I had my choice.  Plus Sprint has no good i-phones.

  • I have Sprint for work with a Blackberry 9630. I like the Blackberry (hey, it's free; I don't have the $$ to buy an Iphone). The service is very hit or miss. I can sit somewhere and have data coverage one minute but not the next. The people at work with Palm Pres seems to have better coverage/or reception of the coverage. I don't use it much for voice.
  • I have Sprint with a Palm Pre for my work cell.  It is GREAT if you have a signal.  But I can't talk on the phone at my house.  I rarely use this phone other than to FB and work email since nobody at work really calls me on it and I have Verizon coverage at home (Blackberry Curve).  If you need coverage, don't go with Sprint.  Choose a provider with better signals.
  • I used to have Sprint and their customer service STINKS

  • DH had them about 4 years ago and hated them!  He had problems getting a consistent signal.  Everyone always complained b/c they would call him and his phone wouldn't even ring. It would just go straight to voicemail b/c of the weak signal.

  • I have sprint cellular and have never had an issue in Atlanta metro area with getting a signal for calls but at times my data signal goes in and out.  I live between exit 11 & 12 on GA400 and I'd say about 2x/wk my data is not available...tends to occur late at night, after 10pm or early weekend mornings.
  • When we lived intown, DH could barely get a signal with Sprint and it would drop his calls all the time. This happened even when he got a new phone and everyone else I knew who had Sprint had the same problem. If Sprint can't even provide a decent signal intown, I would worry about getting a signal in the 'burbs. When we got married, I added him to my plan and he immediately was happy with the signal quality from AT&T/Cingular.
