Water breaking in bath tub?

This is probably a really dumb question. If so, I apologize in advance. I'm sure anything is possible, but what are the chances of your water breaking in the bath tub and you not knowing?

I was really active today and my back was killing me, so I decided to take a bath in our whirlpool tub. While in there, I started to notice some of the bubbles and the side of the tub had an odd almost yellow type color to it and I just cleaned the tub out the other day. I mentioned it to DH and he asked if my water broke. I didn't think so necessarily at first, but then I began wondering if I would really even know it if, in fact, it had. I just figured it was something maybe coming out of the jets or something. Thoughts??

    I don't know for sure but I would think that you would still be able to tell. When my water was broken with dd it was a large gush of fluid. I would imagine it would still be noticable in hte bath...

    Quoting from my pregnancy book:

    "Women also want to know how they'll recognize it if their water breaks while they are in the tub.  When your water breaks, you'll usually notice a gush of water followed by slow leakage.  If your water breaks while you're in the tub, you may not notice the initial gush of fluid.  However, you'll probably ntice the leakage of fluid, which can last for quite a while."

    I wonder the same thing. I take a nice long bath almost every day. I think you would still maybe feel it.

    See, the thing is, I didn't really notice a *gush* of fluid, but with the jets on, I'm not sure I would've. I did notice some *bubbles* coming from down there, but I just thought that was from the jets coming up under my legs.  I'm just really paranoid about my water breaking/leaking because I'm GBS+, so I know I shouldn't wait around at home if it broke.Hmmm....I guess I'll just watch it for awhile and see if anything else happens.

    hmmm with the jets on & being GBS+ I would say call your dr. Isn't going to hurt to get checked out just in case honestly.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that your water was supposed to be clear and that color could indicate an infection?  I would call the Dr.

    Even though there's an initial gush of fluid, you should continue to leak after, so if your water broke I'd expect that you'd notice continued wetness...
