So I'm more than embarassed to admit this but I feel like I hardly know anything about this health bill. All I know is bits and pieces that I have caught while listening to the news in the morning.
This is the summary that I have. It's going to tax wealthier people, make health insurance mandatory with a fine for people who don't get it, get rid of denying a person with a pre existing condition (which I think is awesome), no $ available for abortions, and that it's going to cost a lot of money...except somewhere I heard it was going to really reduce our devicit. At one point I remember hearing that it was really going to screw over the middle class (what's new there) but don't remember why it might screw me over.
So that being said...where can I go to learn more or if you know more please feel free to post it (no fighting though, i feel too crappy to read a bunch of bickering today) I really don't understand why people are so opposed to it and it's probably because I know very little of the details.
TIA

Momma Maven In The Making!
Me too
Me too
I feel this way all the time and it makes me frustrated and feel helpless to fight for or against anything because I just feel like I never really know what's going on.
I think this breaks it down pretty well (hope this link works):

This is what I was reading today.

I liked the 2nd one because it describes what the bill means for your specific family.?
I can give you a few more talking points on it, but like everyone do not know the whole of the bill, in fact there are still changes being made on it, those will be voted on later this week.
Other than that I'm as clueless as you, however I'm in the group that truly believes that something had to be done, hopefully this will bring about good changes for all. Just note that for folks with insurance, not too much really changes.
Thank you for posting this!
