Re: 2nd Tri Check In
Update: We are having a baby GIRL! Kate is going to be one stylish baby b/c this momma has a new shopping problem!
QOTD: Right now I am sticking to some yoga/ stretches and a daily 2 mile walk with the dogs. Nothing super hard but at least I am not just sitting on the couch like I was during the haze that was 1st tri sickness!
QOTD: I can't really exercise since I am high risk. In fac t, I just got a temporary handicap placard.
I have been feeling pretty good. I look smaller than my last two pregnancies, it is weird! We have our big u/s in over 2wks, but we already found out the gender. I only bought one thing so far. We haven't told everyone yet, but plan to tell ppl on FB around 24wks. We tell people when we see them.
thanks for adding me!
update: i have my big u/s this week, but we are team green so no big announcement there, however, we are really excited to see the baby again.
qotd: my exercise consists of daily walks with DD. she also keeps me on my toes a lot during the day.
QOTD: Not doing much of anything right now...trying to walk some, but I get so faint after just a short time. Between being on extrememly limited activity the first tri and dealing with the typical low blood pressure issues, its killing me. I'd like to start doing some prenatal yoga now that I have been cleared...I think that some stretching would really help right about now!
Update: I just realized yesterday that I can see almost all of his movements now!! I spent a good chunk of the early evening propped up, watching my belly ripple and roll and pop. It was a bit creepy and cool all at the same time!!
UPDATE: Nothing really, I am 18 wks today and feeling great!! We go for anatomy scan on April 8th.
QTOD: What are you doing for exercise? I just started going back to the gym since doing IVF. I am walking/light jogging 2+ miles every other day. I hope to start swimming this week as well, except I have never swam laps before so I am slightly intimidated by the whole thing..I gotta work up my nerve.
I also would love to find a prenatal yoga class and start that soon. I easily get board just working out /running at the gym so switching up exercises works best for me!
I'm in the 2nd now!!!!
I am walking more that its nice out and chasing Charlie. I wasn't allowed to do anything in the 1st and now I'm still a little scared. So babysteps.
I find out April 14th what I'm having!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!! I really think it will help me bond with the baby.
Married 8.13.2005, M/C 12/8/06- 5 weeks, M/C 2/27/07- 7 weeks, M/C w/ D&C 8/10/09-6.5 weeks *Charles Lawrence born 5/2/08 @ 3:14am, 7lb 8oz, 20.5 inches. Clomid, Crinone and baby aspirin. *Alexandra Claire born 9/14/10 @ 9:52am 6lb 14oz, 20.5 inches. Femara, Crinone and baby aspirin.
qotd: no exercise for me, unless you count walking to the bathroom
update: all is going well, my cervix is holding steady, i get my first round of steroid shots this week. and that's about it.
Update: Had my 16wk appt last Tuesday and all was well. I scheduled my level II u/s for April. I have been battling those migraines although they aren't as frequent as they'd been- thankfully!
QOTD: I haven't been doing much except walking the dog. I start prenatal yoga in two weeks so I'm excited about that.
QOTD: I was doing pretty good for a while walking 4-5 times a week for about 45 minutes each time. The last two weeks have been bad - our basement flooded with the rain so we were up late a lot and my office is moving so I've been cleaning out and packing. Hoping to get back into the swing this week.
Update: Not much to report here. All quiet (and happy for it to be).
Update: It's a girl for sure! They also found something on my last u/s, not sure if it's a SCH or an amniotic band. I go for another u/s on 4/2.
QOTD: no exercise for me, I'm on bed rest till we figure this out.
Update: I have a pretty bad bladder infection, I think. I have recurrent ones so I started meds that I already have. It has caused some pain and contractions so hopefully that slows down soon. I'll discuss with my doc at my appointment this week.
I start weekly cervical checks this week, along with weekly p17 shots to prevent preterm labor. Since I'm having an u/s, I hope to find out the sex this week! AHHHHH!!!
QOTD: Not allowed to exercise at all. I was allowed to walk a little before, but now that I am hitting 16 weeks, absolutely nothing. Makes it hard to chase a little one around
Update: I'm starting to feel the kicks and punches easier this past weekend. My mom and SD also got to feel the kicks/punches. I also had the 1st case of mini-hiccups I think...
QOTD: I have a co-worker I recruited to take me on a daily walk with her. So we walk a mile everday after lunch...perfect time...because then I'm not too tired and it helps me get thru the afternoons at my desk. I tried to do prenatel yoga DVD but I just don't have the time for it after work...
Just had my 24 week checkup. Everything is going well. Going on babymoon in a couple weeks.
QOTD: Low impact aerobics and spinning.

Psalm 113:9 He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD.
update: Not much too new. I've got a checkup appt this friday. My nursery actually sort of looks like a nursery now, so that's nice. I think I'm to the point where I'm hungry all the time. I've only gained 4 lbs up to this point, so I think I'm doing pretty good.
QOTD: well, I work 12-13 hour shifts 3 times a week where I'm on my feet for the majority of that. So, that's my exercise.
I am having a problem with a fast heart rate in the morning or after I eat sometimes (where my heart rate gets 140-150) so I have to be careful.
QOTD:
I try and get exercise in 3-4x/week. Right now, I'm alternating walking on the treadmill on an incline and fast speed for 40 minutes with free weights/built-in cardio (walking on treadmill, rowing machine, etc) for 30-40 minutes. On days off if it's nice out, I try to get a walk in with the dogs.
I just started getting my energy back which making me a lot more motivated to keep up the exercise.
QOTD: I do water aerobics 3x week, walk every day, and do yoga 2x week. I don't like to sit down! LOL.
Update: Our baby girl is always on the move and I find it SO funny. She's already following in my footsteps
Our other update is that DH & I are trying to plan a babymoom for next month somwhere - but we don't know where.
