Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Those with Stokke Tripp Trapp chair come in please!

Does this chair have a "seat belt" the way it comes?  Or do you have to buy the baby seat attachment thing?  I don't think DS will fit in that.

Does it work at different counter/table heights?

Where have you found it the cheapest?

Is it really worth the money?

Thanks!

Does this chair have a "seat belt" the way it comes? it has straps attached to the chair.

Or do you have to buy the baby seat attachment thing?  you do need to buy the baby attachment. DD used it until 6 months, when she could sit well.

Does it work at different counter/table heights?  i think it just works at a standard table.  it works perfectly at my kitchen and dining room tables.

Where have you found it the cheapest?  i didn't see any price differences.

Is it really worth the money?  for us, yes.  i LOVE it - easy to clean, DD is part of the family meal right there at the table.  it helps her learn table manners and how to use a plate.  it converts as the child grows, so actually an adult can use it as a chair once it is no longer a highchair.

  • We don't have the Stokke Tripp Trapp but we have the Svan High Chair which is a similar concept.

I personally like the options that the Svan chair provides which is why we went with that one. (We were choosing between the two) It just seemed more appropriate for our needs. They're very similar but the biggest difference was that the Svan came with a tray (the Tripp Trapp doesn't) and that was important for me early on...my husband loved the idea of the child being a part of the dinner table so this was the perfect compromise.

Does this chair have a "seat belt" the way it comes?  Or do you have to buy the baby seat attachment thing?  I don't think DS will fit in that. The chair comes with a harness, but you can also buy the infant guard rail. We took the infant rail off around 1yr.

Does it work at different counter/table heights? It's a fixed seat height, standard to most dining tables. Not sure if there is an adjustable option.

Where have you found it the cheapest? We got ours as a registry gift (actually, we got THREE) -- BuyBuyBaby. Not sure if you can use the 20% Bed, Bath and Beyond coupon on it, but worth checking!

Is it really worth the money? It took me a little while to warm up to it. It was confusing with the harness AND the infant rail. Ultimately, though, we really like it. I loooove not having a tray to clean and attach/detach. We just pull DD right up to the table and she seems very comfortable in it.

    Thanks!

  • I would day you absolutely need the baby rail attachment. I cannot imagine not having it on there! I have a friend whose 2 year old still has it on there, but she doesn't buckle him in. I don't always buckle DD in because the rail holds her in, especially since she likes to push herself away from the table sometimes (we have it on a wood floor- something to think about).

You can't adjust the height... just standard table heighth.

We got ours of our registry but will be buying another one for #2 from amazon.com because you can buy it in a "bundle" deal with the rail for cheaper than anywhere else. Oh, and you CANNOT use coupons for it at BRU or BBB. Also, you don't need a cushion for it. We bought one, but took it off after a month or two because it gets SO dirty and LOs don't really need it anyway.

    GL!
