Flame if you want.. but I called the cops on a neighbor.

Its illegal here to have a firepit in your front yard burning leaves. He is. And it is like mid 60s and I have to keep my windows and doors shut because the smoke is all blowing into our house. (there isnt even 10 feet in between houses) I am just annoyed.

    I probably wouldn't have called the cops without asking them to put the fire out first.  Considering how close the houses are together I can understand why you are annoyed!

    I would have called the police too, after going over to try and talk to the neighbor first...if you know them. We've called the police for this reason too, but we don't know the neighbors, they brought out the whole fire department, destroyed the firepit, and then fined them.

    weve have asked him on several other times to please not have it so close to the houses. i got tired of asking him first.. so i decided to call.

    Good for you. I'm too chicken. Our neighbor's dog barks ALL.THE.TIME. They leave it out while they are gone... barks, barks, barks. Someday I'll get brave and call.
