I would not induce solely because I was uncomfortable. If there was a reason, I definitely would (and did) but I did end up with a c-section. NO FUN, and WAY less comfortable than being hugely pregnant. You are SO CLOSE!!! You can stick it out, mama! Good luck!

No!!! I would not induce just because I was uncomfortable or if a certain date suited me! I went overdue with #1 and I wouldn't consider an induction unless there was a medical reason!
So I am taking it you would induce due to being uncomfortable?
My answer a big fat NO. My baby will come when he is ready. I signed up for this knowing I was going to be uncomfortable and the ONLY way they are inducing me is if it is a medical reason.
Personally being induced due to discomfort is ridiculous!
"Ouch" - I was just asking opinions. Never said I was getting induced. I too knew at some point I would get uncomfortable - I was uncomfortable a month ago....so I am having a bit of a tough time right now. I am worried he is going to get really big - I keep hearing stories about babies getting bigger after their due dates, then once it's time for labour - it ends up being an emergency c-section cause the baby is too big for the womans pelvis. I want to avoid a c-section at all costs, unless medically required.
No flames here! Definitely talk to your doctor about having your membranes stripped. My best friend went into labor at 40w5d yesterday after having her membranes stripped the day earlier.
