Blind cords in your home----how do you control/secure?

I am looking for a cost effective and aesthetically pleasing way to control our blind cords before #2's arrival in May.  DS#1 doesn't really mess with them but they come all the way to the floor if the blind is raised all the way (some rooms are always raised all the way (on the back side of the house).

Don't really want this type of solution:  https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2792273&CAWELAID=107517235

  • I just bought some hooks (the kind with the sticky stuff on the back so you can take them off whenever) and put them at the very top.  When I have the blinds up & there is a lot of cord I just hang it all on the top so no one can reach it.

  • we replaced ours with cordless ones.  they were maybe $40 a piece at lowes.  our girls beds are near windows, so we thougth that was safest.

  • I simply wrap mine around my fingers to make a loop and the hang the loop from the top slat in the blinds.  It's simple, free, and safe.
