You people do know that you can pretty much eat anything in moderation?
Caesar dressing won't kill your baby.
A spoon full of cookie dough isn't going to kill your baby.
A fingernail full of feta isn't going to kill your baby.
A few cups of coffee or a few cans of pop aren't going to kill your baby.
Hot dogs are not going to kill your baby.
Seriously, pregnancy is hard enough without taking away the good things in life like cookie dough and hot dogs.
Re: LOL @ not being able to eat hot dogs or drink soda.
i hear ya!
I don't want to live in a world without diet coke.
My entire first trimester with DD I ate nothing but ham and cheese sandwiches. And they were fantastic! And then I ate a ton of hot dogs during the summer, and I'm pretty sure I had my fair share of cookie dough too. My baby turned out ok. I mean she's a little bratty sometimes but I blame that on her father.
Holy crap! I remember that..lol
It will never die. NEVER!!!!!
Does anyone have it still? I remember awhile back someone posted it and I was DYING laughing. I'd love to read it again!
I'm sure one of the oldies still has it but I'm not sure which one. It gets posted from time to time and I really should save it.
I think it was Cathy who posted it last time I read it. Maybe she will see this...
Found it!

Yes! Thank you! I'm saving it this time
Oh Jesus
LOL!
I love my goat cheese.
And I will continue to eat it.
Much more than a "fingernail full."

LMAO! Wow... it frightens me that people that lack that much common sense are having children. And I read that someone was concerned about chicken soup burning their baby? WTF? Guess I killed the kids tonight at work with my Lipton Cup o' Soup.
lol. I see SP found it. I have a selection of the best posts saved, from "feta" to "cat piss" and a few more.
Cut the Crap - Weight loss journey of a Few Fat Chicks
hahaha.. thanks for posting that for the newbies! so funny!
i don't think i will be able to resist the hot dogs this summer... we bbq all the time!!
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
Wow. Thanks for the early morning funnies! Seriously? Puking up "a fingernail full" of feta? WTF is a fingernail full?
My DH's grandmother gave birth to 10 children in Colombia...I find it hard to believe she didn't eat unpasteurized cheese...not to mention they don't refrigerate meat and I'm quite sure she ate things that had been sitting out on the stove for days. All of her children are perfectly healthy. Stressing has to be worse for your baby than eating a freaking hot dog.

People are nuts! thanks for sharing with us first timers! I hate how people OD on all the "you can't have that"! too funny! I wish I could say that I am going to go and have a cup of coffee but it actually has become one of my aversions (a cruel cruel joke if you ask me) so instead I will go have cocoa and maybe some eggs!
Hahaha, omg. The feta post is amazing.
I have only been pregnant for a few weeks and I already can't stand the insanity around food restrictions.
I like how people will freak out over eating one turkey sandwich and yet something like riding in a car, which I am sure they almost all do every day, is many times more dangerous from an odds perspective.
Ha, I definitely remember you posting the cat piss one, and I think that is even more funny due to the responses from everyone! Oh boy, I was laughing hard that night.
Well I miscarried at 14 weeks and underwent a D & C without anethesia. I was awake for the whole thing. I'm sure all of you mothers can image how traumatic that was to not only lose my baby in the 2nd trimester, but to be awake while it happened.
So to say I'm a little gun shy this time is an understatement. I choose not to eat that stuff, knowing it's simply a recommendation and that 99% of the time it's no problem as long as it's eaten in moderation. I know that I'm being over zealous but being over zealous makes me feel good. It makes me feel like I'm making every effort to not have a repeat. Just as eating what you want in moderation makes you feel good.
I don't think you're wrong or a bad mother if you eat some things I don't, I simply don't judge it at all. I think women know their bodies and their babies and know how to handle pregnancy comfortably and safely.
But on that thought, please don't judge me for what makes me most happy and comfortable. I wouldn't ever make myself puke over a bite of feta, but I will drink gatorade in the mornings now instead of coffee.
For me taking away the good stuff like cookie dough and hot dogs doesn't add to making my pregnancy anymore difficult, but feeling mocked or judged because I subscribe to a different line of thinking does.
This is my siggy. Love it.
You do realize that gatorade is only good for you when you are dehydrated or working out really really hard? Otherwise you're just downing a LOT of sugar?
