First time getting serious

HELLO EVERYONE. IMI'M NEW TO THIS BUT I LIKE MESSAGE BOARDS SO I'M POSTING. I BEEN MARRIED TO DH FOR 5 MONTH N BEEN TOGETHER A LIL OVER 2 YEARS. WE BOTH WANT MORE THAN ONE KID SO WE TRYING TO START EARLY. WE'RE BOTH 26 YRS OLD N FEEL AS THOUGH THE TIME IS RIGHT. WE DIDN'T USE MUCH PROTECTION BEFORE MARRIAGE AND HAD NO LUCK SO I WENT FOR THE PRECONCEPTION CHECKUP. AFTER DOING AN ULTRASOUND SHE PUT ME ON CLOMID FOR DA EXTRA BOOST. SO HERE'S MY QUESTION FOR EVERYONE WHO TOOK THE TIME TO READ THIS: HOW LONG, IF YOU ARE, HAVE U BEEN ON CLOMID AND HAVE U HAD ANY SIDE EFFECTS THAT I SHOULD WORRY ABOUT?

    I'm new too.  I don't have experience with Clomid, but good luck!  The women on this board seem to know everything about TTC, so I'm sure they will be very helpful.

    This, and although I'm not on Clomid, I know that it is very important the you are properly monitored while on it.

    Second, do you know anything about clomid? It is a very serious medication that requires a lot of monitoring. Its not a drug to be put on "for da extra boost" ::facepalm::

    Welcome to the board and I hope it's a short stay for you.

    Just some helpful suggestions: please do not use CAPS unless necessary for emphasis.  Also, please avoid "text speak" as it makes it difficult to read for those of us who aren't 14 year old girls.

    2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
    TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
    Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    Maybe someone should call Clomid and suggest this as a new marketing campaign!

    This needs to be put in someone siggy. I mean, I would put it in mine, but I'm not on Clomid. Love it!

    This is my 3rd cycle.  No real side effects.  You should worry about the fact that you haven't had any testing if you, in fact, haven't had any testing.

    Ok, I am newer to this board, but I would SERIOUSLY consider a new OB.  A very close friend (IRL) has been TTC for almost 2 years and her and her doctor are now just talking about Clomid because it IS a very serious med and does need to be closely monitored (as other posters have stated).  It sounds as if your OB is being very casual about this.... Clomid is not meant to give "da extra boost".
